Dann ging es ans auspacken der einzelnen Teile. Hauptbestandteile der Karosserie sind 2 Teile. Das Dach und die eigentliche Karosserie. In kleinen Einzelteilen lagen die Türen, Fenster, Sitze und Kotflügel bei. Dazu noch die Schrauben und diverse Kleinteile wie Spiegel, Antenne, Seitenverkleidungen von den Türen sowie die Türgriffe und Scharniere.

Als erstes habe ich nun die Löcher für die Karosseriehalterung mit einem 6mm Bohrer gebohrt

Wie ihr seht, habe ich dann die Karo aufgesteckt. Jetzt hatte ich ein Problem womit ich nicht gerechnet habe. Leider ist der Aufbau vom Fahrgestell des DF so hoch angelegt, so das die Karo mit den Sitzen an den Motor in der Mitte anstößt. Auf den nachfolgenden Bildern seht ihr das....

Nun war mir bei der Montage noch ein kleiner Fehler unterlaufen. Beim Abmessen der Löcher für die Halterung hatte ich leider die hinteren Löcher falsch angezeichnet. Wie auf den Bildern zu sehen ist, sind sie etwas zu eng gebohrt. Also, 2 neue Löcher bohren und gut ist.

Now I had made a little mistake during assembly. When measuring the holes for the bracket, I had unfortunately marked the rear holes incorrectly. As can be seen in the pictures, they are drilled a bit too closely. So drill 2 new holes and that's good.

Hier sieht es nun besser aus. ;-))

Als nächstes wurde die Frontscheibe mit den Scheibenwischern eingesetzt und verschraubt.

Wie man sieht, musste ich auch hier etwas abschneiden, damit das Armaturenbrett richtig passt. Sonst hätte auch dies auf dem Fahrgestell aufgelegen.

Als nächstes wurden die Kotflügel angeschraubt.

Next, the fenders were screwed on.

Danach wurden nun die Türen eingesetzt. Durch die Scharniere wurde eine dünne Haltestange gesteckt, damit die Türen beweglich bleiben.

Hier wurden nun die Scheinwerfer, Scheibenwischer, Spiegel, Blinker und Rückleuchten eingesetzt. Durch ein einfaches Klicksystem.

The headlights, wipers, mirrors, indicators and taillights were used here. With a simple click system.

Hinter der Sitzbank befinden sich die Löcher für die Karosseriehalterung. Wie sich hinterher herausstellte, ist beim Wechsel des Akkus es schon lästig immer die Rückbank zu entfernen um an die Splinte zu kommen.

The holes for the body bracket are located behind the seat. As it turned out afterwards, when changing the battery it is annoying to always remove the back seat to get the split pins.

In China, über Ebay, habe ich mir noch diese Trittbretter bestellt. Sie sind aus Aluminium CNC gefräst. Inklusive Halterungen. Wobei ich die Halterungen für die Montage nicht benutzt habe, sondern die Trittbretter direkt unterhalb der Karosserie angebracht habe, um die Bodenfreiheit zu behalten.

In China, via Ebay, I still ordered these running boards. They are CNC machined from aluminum. Including brackets. Although I didn't use the brackets for the assembly, I attached the running boards directly below the body to keep the ground clearance.

Von der Original Karosserie des DF-4S habe ich nun den Dachgepäcktrager ab montiert und auf die Rubi Karosserie aufgeschraubt.

I have now removed the roof rack from the original body of the DF-4S and screwed it onto the Rubi body.

Um nun die Karosse richtig auf zu setzen, müssen die vordere und hintere Stoßstangen Halterung umgedreht montiert werden.

In order to put the body on correctly, the front and rear bumper brackets must be mounted upside down.
