Heute habe ich mir den neuen Mali DF-4S Crawler in der 313mm Edition gekauft. Nach einigen Informationen soll er von Material und Fahreigenschaften sehr gut sein. Nun ist er angekommen und hier seht ihr nun die ersten Bilder nach dem Unboxing. Zu montieren waren die Reifen, die Karohalterung und das einlegen des Akkus. Im Gesamten macht er einen guten Eindruck.

Nun....einen Bericht über das Fahrverhalten und über die Technik werde ich dann in Kürze hier einstellen.

Fazit der ersten Ausfahrt

Der erste Eindruck war nicht schlecht. Mit der mitgelieferten 4 Kanal Steuerung konnte man den Motor feinfühlig ansteuern. Manchmal ruckte er allerdings und musste nachsteuern. Trotz seines Gewichtes von 2,4 Kg ist er für meine Begriffe etwas zu leicht. Die Reifen haben einen mittelmäßigen Gripp. Eine Steigung von 45 Grad sind gerade noch zu bewältigen. Die Lenkung ist gut und läst sich sehr gut über den Servo ansteuern. Die mit angebrachte Seilwinde wird ebenfalls über die Funke gesteuert. Sie ist recht langsam beim an und abrollen und deshalb für mich ein Pluspunkt für den DF-4S. Die Federbeine sind nach Bedarf gut einstellbar. Nachteilig ist das Akkufach angebracht. Man muss schon ein wenig fummeln bis man den Akku rausbekommt, weil es ziemlich eng ist. Die Karosserie ist ziemlich wabbelig. Das Material ist ziemlich dünn. Die Verkabelung zwischen Regler und Akku ist sehr kurz gehalten. Da muß man die Kabelbinder alle lösen um etwas Spiel zu bekommen um anständig die Verbindung zu bekommen. Die hintere Stoßstange ist etwas abfallend angebracht und nicht richtig gerade. Da muss ein wenig nachgeholfen werden um die Stoßstange in ein gerades Verhältnis zu bekommen. Ewas abschleifen und mit 2 dünnen Kabelbindern etwas nach oben ziehen. Es sind einige Aluteile verbaut , wie Spurstangen und Halter sowie die Achsaufhängungen. Der Servo ist aus Metall sowie der komplette Rahmen. Der Kunstoff scheint in meinen Augen etwas hochwertiger zu sein wie bei den 1:8 Modell der DF-4J XXL Crawler.

So hat er einige sehr gute Eigenschaften mitgebracht. Für den heutigen (Nov.2019) , Preis von 239 Euro ist das Preisleistungverhältnis gut. Dafür bekommt man einen guten 1:10 Crawler mit einem 313mm Radstand der schon danach schreit eine neue Karosserie zu bekommen. Reifen sollten auch getauscht werden. Es gibt bessere, obwohl die, die verbaut sind und mitgeliefert werden nicht ganz schlecht sind. DF bezeichnet sie zwar als Super Soft aber ich bin der Meinung das sie eine Standardgummierung haben. Das Licht ist auch von der Funke aus zu schalten. Ist aber ein bischen schlapp. Hätten heller sein können.  Der Dachgepäckträger ist aus Kunststoff und sehr gut angebracht. Auf jeden Fall sieht der schon mal realistischer aus wie bei dem 1:8 Modell. Auf meinem YouTube Chanel habe ich schon einige Videos eingestellt. It is quite slow when rolling on and off and therefore for me a plus for the DF-4S. The struts are easily adjustable as needed. The disadvantage is the battery compartment attached. You have to fumble a bit until you get the battery out, because it's pretty tight. The body is pretty wobbly. The material is pretty thin. The wiring between controller and battery is kept very short. Since you have to solve the cable tie all to get some game to decently get the connection. The rear bumper is slightly sloping and not really straight. There must be a little help to get the bumper in a straight relationship. Sand off something and pull it up with 2 thin cable ties. There are some aluminum parts installed, such as tie rods and brackets and the axle suspensions. The servo is made of metal as well as the complete frame. The plastic seems to be something higher in my eyes as in the 1: 8 model of the DF-4J XXL crawler.

So he brought along some very good qualities. For today's (Nov.2019), price of 239 euros, the price performance ratio is good. For that you get a good 1:10 crawler with a 313mm wheelbase that screams for a new bodywork. Tires should also be exchanged. There are better ones, though the ones that are installed and supplied are not all that bad. DF calls them super soft but I think they have a standard rubber. The light can also be switched off from the spark. But is a little tired. Could have been brighter. The roof rack is made of plastic and very well attached.
