Diesen WPL B14 habe ich mir gleich 2 mal in China bestellt. Nach gut 2 Wochen ist das Paket auch schon angekommen. Einen davon, habe ich erst einmal vor um zu lackieren. Ausserdem bekommt er auch einen Fahrer. Der Truck ist im Maßstab 1:16 und ist eher so, wie er aus der Box kommt, im Spielzeugbereich angesiedelt. Also eher was für Kinder. Aber ich wollte mal was basteln und ausprobieren. Dafür waren die 30 Euro gut angelegt.

I ordered this WPL B14 twice in China. After a good 2 weeks, the package has already arrived. One of these, I have to paint before. He also gets a driver. The truck is in 1:16 scale and is more like it comes out of the box, settled in the toy area. So rather something for children. But I wanted to tinker and try something. For the 30 euros were well spent.

Nachdem ich nun den Truck in seine Einzelteile zerlegt habe, wurden alle Aufbauteile in Feuer-Rot lackiert. Chassieteile , Tanks und Stoßstangen wurden in Silber lackiert. Das Armaturenbrett bekam noch einige Decals und farbliche Details.

Now that I have disassembled the truck into its individual parts, all body parts were painted in fire red. Chassis parts, tanks and bumpers were painted in silver. The dashboard got some decals and color details.

Zudem bekommt der Truck noch eine Fahrerfigur. In diesem Fall ist es Indiana Jones. den habe ich bei Ebay für 3 Euro abgegriffen. Der kleine ist ca 10cm groß. Damit er aber ins Fahrerhaus paßt, bzw auf den Sitz, mußte ich ihm leider die Beine etwas kürzen. Zum besseren Halt, habe ich ihn mit einer Schraube von hinten durch den Sitz fixiert. Irgendwie tat er mir leid. :-))

In addition, the truck gets a driver figure. In this case, it is Indiana Jones. I have tapped on Ebay for 3 euros. The little one is about 10cm tall. But so that he fits into the cab, or on the seat, I unfortunately had to cut his legs a bit. For a better grip, I fixed it with a screw from behind through the seat. Somehow I felt sorry for him. :-))

Jetzt ist der Truck fahrbereit. Hat alles gut gepasst. Er kann sogar den Hut anlassen. :-))

Zusätzlich bekommt der Truck noch neue Reifen. Diese sind speziell nur für den WPL Truck. Auch diese habe ich ich China bestellt gehabt und waren innerhalb einer Woche schon da.

So sieht er nun aus. Am Motor und Getriebe habe ich noch nichts geändert. Wird aber noch gemacht.
