Kleine Holzsilos  /  Self-made Wooden Silos

Hier zeige ich, wie ich Holz-Silos für meine HO Scale Anlage baue. Dazu benötige ich eine Papphülse oder ähnliches. Balsaholz in 2mm Stärke und einen kleinen Leistenschneider. Die Leisten werden in einer Breite von ca 3-4mm geschnitten.

Here I show how I build wooden silos for my HO Scale system. For this I need a cardboard tube or something similar. Balsa wood in 2mm thickness and a small strip cutter. The strips are cut in a width of approx. 3-4mm.
Nach dem schneiden werden dann alle Leisten auf die Papphülse mit etwas Holzleim aufgeklebt.

After cutting, all strips are then glued to the cardboard tube with a little wood glue.
Nun wird der Deckel gemacht. Dazu nehme ich in diesem Fall Balsaholz in 2mm dicke. Der Deckel wird ca 5-6mm größer im Durchmesser, so das er nach allen Seiten übersteht.

Now the lid is made. In this case I use balsa wood 2mm thick. The lid is about 5-6mm larger in diameter, so that it protrudes on all sides.
  Dieser wird nun ebenfalls mit Leisten beklebt.

This is now also covered with strips.
Nachdem sie gut festgeklebt sind, werden die Überstände abgeschnitten und der Deckel bekommt noch die Luke mit den Befestigungsbrettern.

After they are well glued, the overhangs are cut off and the lid still gets the hatch with the fastening boards.
Nachdem alles gut fest ist bekommt der Silo mit Blumendraht seine Befestigungsummantelung.

After everything is firmly fixed, the silo is given its fastening coating with floral wire.
Nur darauf achten, das die Abstände einigermaßen gleich sind.

Just make sure that the distances are more or less the same.
Nun kann auch der Deckel aufgeklebt werden und der Anstrich kann gemacht werden. Ich benutze dafür als Grund den Farbtone Antrazit.

Now the lid can also be glued on and the painting can be done. I use the color anthracite as a reason for this.
Da habe ich doch fast noch den Bodenring vergessen.

Wenn die Farbe trocken ist, wird der Silo entsprechend mit Pigmentpulver noch patiniert.

When the paint is dry, the silo is patinated with pigment powder.
so sieht nun das Endergebnis aus. Zusätzlich habe ich noch aus einem alten Gußrahmen die Rohrleitungen geschnitten und angeklebt.
